The Adventures Of Pinocchio By Carlo Collodi
by Carlo Collodi Pinocchio

View in Library Catalog

Pinocchio was about a special piece of wood that could talk. A man named Geppetto took the piece of wood and made a puppet out of it. He named it Pinocchio. Pinocchio did a lot of naughty things when he was with Geppetto such as running away, stealing, not doing what he promised and getting Geppetto in trouble. After all this, Pinocchio learned his lesson, everyone forgave him and he did not do any bad things any longer. Eventually, he turned into a real boy as a reward for being good. I liked that Geppetto did not have a surprised reaction when he made the puppet that could talk. I learned that it is not good to do all the things that Pinocchio did early on in the book.

How The King Of Elfhame Learned To Hate Stories
by Holly Black

A fun installment to the Folk of the Air series, this book was a quick read. It was an intriguing view from a different perspective than of the trilogy, and highly entertaining backstory from one of the most adored and despised characters; Cardan, the High King of Elfhame. In addition to this, the book has exquisite illustrations by Rovina Cai. I found it really fun to see my favorite characters come to life. I also found it super interesting to learn the memories and events that build up one of the most layered and interesting characters. If you have read the folk of the air series, defiantly check out this irresistible new installment!

The book is about a boy Malcom, who needs to write a book report. He checks out the book from the library and takes it home, but it disappears. He finds the book again in the Library, puts it down on the floor, then he spots a ghost of Cooley Tucker, who is the writer of the book. Turns out that he was lying about the facts in his book. The boy ends up writing a newspaper and he inspires the ghost to become a fiction writer.

Rainbow Magic: Inky the Indigo Fairy
by Daisy Meadows

I like this book. This book is about a fairy named Inky that has six sisters who Jack Frost has put in different spots in Fairyland. The sisters are called the Rainbow Sisters, so they need to find each other and get back to Fairyland, so that Fairyland does not turn gray. You have to read the book to find out if Inky comes back with her sisters, so that Fairyland does not turn gray.
